Dr. Kazue Nagasawa was awarded by the Norwegian Research Council with a Regional
Functional Genomics (FUGE-N) grant for international workshop for the year 2011.
Dr. Nagasawa applied to attend the Fish Muscle Growth and Repair: Models Linking
Biomedicine and Aquaculture Workshop organized by The Company of Biologists in Wilton
Park, Steyning, West Sussex, United Kingdom.
The FUGE programme of NFR comprises a national plan for research in functional genomics
in Norway. The programme aims to support the genomics research in Norway to keep
up with the fast-paced international millieu. This travel grant is one of the many
opportunities given by the council in strengthening the functional genomics research
in the country.
